Welcome Letter from Sam Patterson, Founder and Executive Director of The SSF.

Greetings My Fellow Americans & Patriots for Peace around the globe,

Welcome and Thank You for visiting the Service Members' Stewardship Foundation Internet site.

As Americans, our national heritage is deeply rooted in compassion and assistance for those in need. The SSF was founded as a way of giving back not only to this great country we live in, but also to the amazing young men and women in uniform who fight against terrorism and for freedom around the globe everyday. The SSF is both a 501C3 and a 5019A, under the umbrella of The NHF/National Heritage Foundation, whose motto is: "To Give Is To Live!" I was moved to begin the Bronzes Of The Brave™ Project after discovering how truly overwhelming the NEED is: from military families whose main bread-winner is on active duty in the war on terror, to individual service members who have very special medical, physical, and financial needs as a result of injuries sustained in battle. There is so much to do.

The immediate focus for The SSF will be a special project – The Bronzes of the Brave - the creation of a full size bronze bust to honor EVERY service member KIA in Iraq and Afghanistan in OEF/Operation Enduring Freedom and OIF/Operation Iraqi Freedom. The finished bronze is presented with ceremony and will rest in the hometown of that service member. If you have a friend, family member, or loved one who has paid the ultimate price, or if you would like to promote a hometown hero, please contact us so we can assist you in building support for a specific Bronzes Of The Brave.

I hope you will seriously and strongly consider assisting the Bronzes Of The Brave™ Project yourself in our common, worthy cause: Supporting Our Troops. With the cooperation and participation of some highly respected names and brands, we have created several pathways for donations. There are so many ways you can help! Although we will always accept and appreciate direct cash donations, another important way you can help is to select one or more of the digital services offered THROUGH the Bronzes Of The Brave™ Project. Share it with a few friends and together we can create an on-going perpetual revenue stream to generate funding every month - funds that will be used to honor the memory of the brave, to purchase an artificial limb, or to help educate a child!
